Waitakere Pavilion Construction Begins!

AKH is thrilled to update that the construction on the new pavilion at the Waitakere Hockey Turf has begun!

After many years hard work including planning, funding and fundraising stages, this exciting project is now underway. The pavilion will be a welcome addition to the turf and provide wonderful facilities including a club house with bar, viewing platform and changing rooms, for not only Waitakere Hockey Club but for the entire hockey community to enjoy when playing out West at the Henderson Turf.

A huge congratulations and thank you to the Waitakere Regional Hockey Turf Trust for all their work on getting this underway. The Turf staff are working hard to ensure hockey continues during this process but please be aware that access from Smythe Road is currently restricted and only the main gates by the gym are accessible.

Q Construction are the contractors building the new pavilion and have an estimated project completion scheduled for the end of May/Early June. We can’t wait to see the Waitakere Hockey Club and wider hockey community enjoying these much needed facilities.
