The following Coaching Opportunities are currently available.

 

Premier Women’s Coach – Somerville Hockey Club

Somerville H.C. is seeking to fill the position of Head Coach within its Premier Women’s programme.

The Premier Women’s team has contested finals for the past six seasons and boasts a number of current and former Black Sticks, a number of regional players along with some rising stars from one of the country’s largest junior programmes.

The Premier Women’s Head Coach position is supported by an Assistant Coach and Manager. The position reports to the clubs Coaching Director.

 

Premier Men’s Coach – Somerville Hockey Club

Somerville H.C. is also seeking to fill the position of Head Coach within its Premier Men’s programme.

The Somerville Premier Men’s team has contested quarter finals for the past 3 seasons and boasts a number of current and former Black Sticks, a number of regional players along with some rising stars from one of the country’s largest junior programmes

The premier Men’s Head Coach position is supported by an assistant coach and manager. The position reports to the clubs Coaching Director.

 

The club, based in the central suburbs of Auckland has a membership of approximately 600 (50 teams) with a history dating back to 1915.

Contract: 2022 – renewable

Salary: On application.

1XI Girls Hockey – Selwyn College

Hockey at Selwyn College has gathered strength over the last couple of years and we are looking for a coach to continue on the fine work that has already been put in.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing a Hockey team culture and performance environment
  • Developing, organising and delivering player-centred technical and tactical training sessions twice a week, for both player and team development.
  • Game day coaching on Thursday late afternoon/evenings

Applicants should have a combination of the following attributes:

  • A sound technical and tactical knowledge of Hockey
  • Experience working with youth
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
