Team members were presented with their playing kit by members of New Zealand’s gold medal winning hockey team from the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games.

NZ’s playing kit for Paris is a homage to our 1976 Olympic Champions featuring a similar design as well as carrying the names of that legendary team within the shirt.
The team are proud to be carrying the legacy of those gone before and determined to create our own history.
The shirt also features the word ‘Kotahitanga’ in the collar. This means ‘Unity’ and is a symbol of our strength as a team united by the Fern which proudly adorns the shirt cuffs.

New Zealand will begin their Olympic campaign against India, July 28, before also facing defending champions Belgium, Australia, Argentina and Ireland in the pool stage.
