Auckland Hockey offers a Youth Competition for U16 students as of 1st January. The competition starts in Term 2. Entry to this competition is via our Auckland Hockey Clubs. To find the contact details for our Auckland Hockey Clubs please Click here.
We offer two grades in Youth Hockey.
Premier Grade
Our Premier Grade is played on a Sunday morning at various turfs across Auckland. We offer a boys and girls grade within this competition. They play 1 x match broken into 4 x 15 minute quarters with a 2 minute break between quarters 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and a 5 minute half time between quarters 2 and 3. Game times are typically 9am, 10.20am and 11.40am. This grade is for experienced hockey players.
Championship Grade
Our Championship Grades are played on a Sunday morning at various turfs across Auckland. We offer a boys and girls grade within this competition. They play 1 x match broken into 4 x 15 minute quarters with a 2 minute break between quarters 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and a 5 minute half time between quarters 2 and 3. Game times are typically 9am, 10.20am and 11.40am. This grade is for development hockey players.
