Youth Winter Competition 2026

Auckland Hockey offers a Youth Competition for Secondary School Students (i.e. Year 9 and Above) who are 16 years of age or younger as of 1st January 2026. The competition starts in Term 2. We offer two grades in Youth Hockey.

Premier Grade

Our Premier Grade is played on a Sunday morning at various turfs across Auckland. We offer a boys and girls grade within this competition. They play 1 x match broken into 4 x 15 minute quarters with a 2 minute break between quarters 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and a 5 minute half time between quarters 2 and 3. Game times are typically 9am, 10.20am and 11.40am. This grade is for experienced hockey players.

Championship Grade

Our Championship Grades are played on a Sunday morning at various turfs across Auckland. We offer a boys and girls grade within this competition. They play 1 x match broken into 4 x 15 minute quarters with a 2 minute break between quarters 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and a 5 minute half time between quarters 2 and 3. Game times are typically 9am, 10.20am and 11.40am. This grade is for development hockey players.
