NHC Mens and Womens 2021 Trial Squad ANNOUNCEMENT

Auckland Hockey is excited to receive a record number of expressions of interest from AKH Premier players despite 2021 being an Olympic year. For the first time in 16 seasons we will be entering two teams into this year’s new NHC, a pathway event for those players wishing to play in the PHL.

1. If you are named in a trial team above and are unavailable for this year’s NHC you should advise Joe via email no later than Monday 21 June at 5pm. This includes Tokyo Olympians.

2. If you are an AKH Club Premier player not named above and wish to trial you should also advise Joe via email asap.

3. If you are available for this year’s NHC but cannot make any of the trial games due to a long term illness, injury, examination on a trial evening or being out of AKL for work, then you should advise Joe via email asap.

4. This year AKH will also take a second team to play in Tier 2. If you are only available to be selected into the Tier 1 team you should advise Joe via email asap. Note that HNZ selectors will be selecting PHL players for 2021 from all Tiers at the NHC.

5. The indicative costs for this year’s NHC per player is $850 (this amount is after an AKH subsidy of $500 pp).

6.If you are an U18 player named for these trial matches you should liaise with Sandie or Joe about the matches planned before you leave for your National tournament on July 10.
