Expressions of interest open for players to represent Auckland Hockey in two matches against Australia Country.

Auckland Hockey is inviting expressions of interest from players to represent Auckland Hockey in two matches against Australia Country.

The matches will take place on Wednesday 17th, and Thursday 18th April, at 7:15 pm at Auckland Hockey Stadium, Lloyd Elsmore Park.

Australia Country will be visiting New Zealand with both women’s and men’s teams, providing Auckland Hockey with the opportunity to compete in two matches.

This opportunity is available for players aged 18-26. Only players participating in the Intercity Premier competition will be considered for selection. One team per gender will be selected, with selections made by Auckland Hockey after consulting with club coaches. The teams will be announced by Friday, April 13th.

This is a fantastic chance for players interested in participating in NHC Tier 1 or 2 in 2024. Auckland Hockey will be sending a Tier 1 and 2 teams to NHC this year.

There is no cost for players participating in this event.
