- Fun, supportive & positive community environment
- Attractive hourly rate for the right candidates
About the Head Junior Hockey Coach Role:
We are looking for a Head Junior Hockey Coach for our After School Hockey Programme
2025. As Head Junior Hockey Coach you will oversee a large group of junior hockey girls in
the pre-season and be responsible for the development of around 11x teams in the winter
season. Training sessions are on Tuesdays 3:30pm-4:30pm/5:00pm and games are on
Saturday mornings based at our main school campus. The role can potentially span from
February – November including pre-season, winter season and off-season skills clinics. You
won’t coach a team directly, you will work with our team coaches including supporting and
mentoring our student coaches, facilitating centralised delivery of development content at
training sessions and overseeing games at our main turf on Saturday mornings. You will
ensure the smooth running of our hockey operations including checking weekly coach and
player availability for games; ensuring gear bags are clean, stocked and tidy; games are
running on time at our main turf and all game results are logged on Saturdays. You will be
involved in planning, team trials and selections, early identification of issues and
opportunities for continuous improvement. This is a highly rewarding role for the right
person. You’ll need lots of initiative and positive energy.
About the Junior Hockey Coach Role:
We have several roles available for Junior Hockey Coaches in our After-School Hockey
Programme 2025. As a Junior Hockey Coach you will be responsible for a team of junior
hockey girls; leading weekly training development sessions and coaching at games. We run
around 11x teams during the winter season. Our junior teams train on Tuesdays from
3:30pm – 4:30pm/5:00pm. All training sessions are based on the main turf at our Epsom
campus and games are played on Saturday mornings at various central locations, including
at Diocesan School. The coach role can potentially span February – November or part of this
period. Pre-season training sessions start in late February, we then move into trials in March/April.
Winter hockey runs from late April through to late August. There are also
opportunities to continue coaching up until November in our summer hockey skills
programme. We can provide you with training content and support, and you will be part of
our junior hockey community, as teams train together, you don’t need to be out on your own.
Do you have a positive, responsible, nurturing manner with lots of energy, initiative and
some past or current hockey experience? Then, we’d love to hear from you.

- Training content is provided to some extent and there is also an opportunity to adapt
and deliver specific content as required. - Each team/coach is supported by a Team Manager who handles all communications

you up to speed so don’t worry about the details too much. A positive attitude will go
a long way.

but not essential. Other sports coaching experience will be considered.
