Simon Taylor was unanimously elected to the Auckland Hockey Board at the 120th AGM on Saturday 15 April.

Simon is a three time Olympian Umpire (London, Rio, Tokyo) having officiated in 171 tests over 18 years between 2003 and 2021.
A qualified Architectural Draughtsman, Simon grew up in Wellington and started umpiring as a junior umpire in 1983.
Simon is a highly respected hockey stakeholder and high achiever and current life member of the AHUA.
He is currently employed as the Group Data and Business Information Manager for BJ Ball and Doggett in NZ and Australia.
Simon is a family man, married to Kelly and the dad of Dylan who has enjoyed Simon being on the sidelines of his junior hockey and cricket games since retiring from umpiring in 2021.
