Panel Discussion – Ten Suggestions for Parents with Sporty Children 

With 3 sporting parents – Manoj Daji former teacher and CEO of College Sport and current  CEO of Ak Hockey, Mandy Barker former Double Olympian and Ryan Archibald former 4 time Olympian.

Case lots of Wairau River Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris  can be ordered in advance ( for $250) and on the night Akl Hockey will have signed coaching books from Dr Ric Charlesworth  and “Striking Gold” books  (all $50)  for sale via eftpos. All profits from the evening will help support those young  hockey players requiring a hand up with their representative expenses due to their financial circumstances.

Come along, listen and ask questions of our panel as they discuss world renowned youth sports expert Bob Bigelow’s (USA) ten suggestions for parents with sporty children.

Panelists 

Mandy Barker , parent of 4 teenagers is NZ’s only ever hockey player to be runner up World Player of the Year. Hailing from Ranfurly in the South Island, Mandy represented NZ at senior level at 18 and had an athletics background.

Ryan Archibald  is the parent of two young primary school aged daughters. Ryan grew up in Auckland attending Auckland Grammar School and in Year 13 was selected in the NZ Mens Hockey team.

Manoj Daji grew up in Auckland as a dual national age group representative Hockey and Cricket player, later coaching at the high performance level and having the privilege of winning national titles with his two young sons.

Sanjay Rama grew up in Auckland as national age group representative athlete and hockey player and is the father of two sporty children.
