MEMO: AKH ALERT LEVEL 2 HOCKEY – new 2020 season end dates for stakeholders

A massive thank you from Auckland Hockey for the great response to our short poll last week. It was fantastic to receive over 2200 plus responses and to hear that over 76% of stakeholders wanted an extension to the current season. Last night we discussed the poll results with your Club President and they have endorsed the below plan of action going forward. I understand many Aucklanders may be feeling deflated after today’s Government announcement. Stay positive, we will get through this as a hockey community and be back on the turf soon. As the PM said on Monday afternoon “ we have had a very tough year, no more so than the residents of Christchurch, Auckland and farmers around NZ.” We all live in the best country in the world, let’s keep smiling and looking out for one another through these unprecedented times.

Take care and stay safe,

Manoj
