Invitation –  Auckland Hockey 2027 Strategic Planning Workshop Facilitated by Ryan Archibald (Chair) and Manoj Daji (CEO)

7.15pm: Facilitated Strategic Planning Workshop

We invite you to an important workshop and take this opportunity to update you all on our 2027 Strategic Plan refresh.

In May this year the new AKH Board met to have a facilitated session on the Strategic Plan rewrite. Ken Maplesden from Hockey NZ addressed the board at this meeting about the likely direction of the new Hockey NZ strategy. As with our 2022 Auckland Hockey strategy our 2027 Strategy will need good alignment with the Hockey NZ strategy.

After the facilitated Board session, Ryan and James and Jason McCracken had a workshop in June with Presidents, Life Members and staff where we heard in person their views and thoughts on the Board’s initial strategic thinking.

We now invite interested players, coaches, umpires and club officers and members to hear about our collective  initial thinking and provide in-person feedback in a facilitated workshop on this draft.

Please come on time as the evening will start with a thought provoking video presentation by Shane McLeod Gold Medal winning coach on the Auckland Way – a summary of modern concepts and principles for playing winning hockey.
